Good morning, starshine, the earth says “Hello”

Dear Friend, 

Yes, indeed-ee-oh, i did in fact quote a song from the musical Hair in my first blog on WordPress.  I also just used the phrase “Yes, indeed-ee-oh”.  Don’t judge me.

I started this blog here for 3 reasons:

1. My life has recently become interesting.  Not only this, but I know longer have the time (nor the venue for social interaction, sigh) or energy to share all the goings-on in my life with the people that I care about…who also are hopefully interested in said goings-on.

2. As I previously mentioned, my life is lacking on certain types of social interaction.  Having said this, there are some things I just need to get out.  And knowing (or thinking) that someone out there may actually be reading this makes me feel a little warm and fuzzy inside.  Just a little.

3. I know 2 other people that use WordPress, and quite frankly, I think it’s a great site.  Check out one of the most interesting blogs I’ve seen if you get the time: markaelrod.net

After saying all this, I hardly have the time left on my lunch break to say much more.  I’m also sure that you hardly have the attention span, knowing most of my audience.  So I will simply say this:

I appreciate all of you who are reading this, especially those who continue to read.  I appreciate those who check in on me to make sure I’m still alive.  It’s been rough up here so far.  I especially appreciate those who called me yesterday (my birthday), who sent cards, who sent gifts, and who have spent any meaningful amount of time with me.  Please, keep in touch.  And keep checking this blog!  Leave me comments so I know you’re reading.  ^_^
